Installing the perfect sash window replacements
Devonshire Windows' brief for this project was to replace the original timber sash windows whilst retaining the architectural style and original features of this property built in 1921.
Meetings, both on site and in our showroom reassured the clients that the work would be sympathetic to the property's age and style and the clients involvement extended to designing their own bespoke stained glass designs for the glazing in the front door.
The internal finish was also a concern as the client wanted to retain the original architrave and mouldings. Devonshire Windows' solution was to provide a local joinery with a piece of original moulding to produce new architrave in European Oak with a painted finish.
The installation was completed in March 2015 and the clients are delighted with the finished result. They can now sit back, relax and enjoy the fantastic views through their new, energy efficient sash windows from Devonshire Windows.
